“Julia’s attitude has improved at
home and at school since beginning
classes at Azad’s. Her attention in
school has definitely improved. This
improvement has been noticed by her
teachers at school as well as family
members who have watched her grow
over the last few months. She is
much more willing to do what she
needs to do such as small chores and
homework. We spend much less time
redirecting her attention back to
her homework instead of the stimulus
around her. She is an awesome kid
and has learned a lot since
beginning Azad’s. She has made a
great effort and improvement in
every aspect.”

“John has been doing well at home,
including being a better listener, a
good helper and friend to his little
brother, increasing his already keen
interest in reading, and getting
much better at following directions.
John has also done very well as a
kindergartener, going happily to
school and earning very good marks
in all areas from his teacher.”

“Thank you so much for being so
wonderful to Brady, myself, and our
family and friends! We both love
this school [Azad’s Martial Arts
Family Center] so much and feel so
‘at home’ when we are here. I have
seen a change in Brady since he
began his lessons here. He has
become more sure of himself and also
has a confidence now that he didn’t
before. Brady has gained so much
from the life skills that the school
[Azad’s] teaches and they have
become a topic of regular discussion
around our house and they also work
as a disciplinary ‘tool’ to keep him
on track! … Thank you so much for
inspiring my son to try harder, be a
good person, and take care of
himself and others!”
Brady’s Mom
“I believe your [Azad’s] program has
been a blessing to our family. It
helps Mariah learn skills that will
help her on the path to success. I
never want her to give up and I
think this is an important element
of the program.”
Mariah’s Mom
“My daughter had a very low
self-esteem and now after taking
karate classes [at Azad’s] her
self-esteem has improved. She has
regained her self confidence and she
believes in herself again. Thank
you!”

“We have seen an improvement in
Wesley during his martial arts
classes. His focus is doing
wonderful and he seems to be
maturing both mentally and
physically in class. His physical
abilities have grown because of the
great instruction that he gets from
you all. Thank you for your caring
and devoted work that you all put
into our children!”
Wesley’s Step Mom and Dad
“Levi has improved his confidence.
He might be scared at first but he
believes he can do just about
anything now if he keeps trying.”

“Symone has been learning about the
tenets of Black Belt in her karate
class with her instructor Mark. She
has learned about honesty and
integrity and respect. This has
helped her be a better person at
home and at school. She is doing an
excellent job with her school
homework, and she always asks if she
can help do some work at our house
when she visits. We think that her
participation in karate classes has
been very good for her physical and
character development and would like
to see her continue to learn and
develop further along the same
path.”

“Sarah has shown much improvement in
her homework and general listening
skills at home. She is not chatting
so much in class and has had a great
overall attitude- Sarah has had a
focus problem and I definitely see
this improving, and I know attending
[Azad’s] Martial Arts classes has
helped her with that. Once again
thank you for all you do.”

It feels that my son has shown much
improvement in his life skills. He
has shown a lot more respect towards
me, and has shown a big improvement
in his patience. He continues to
gain skills each and every day. He
is also more focused on his school
work and works harder at completing
it.”

Alex is much more responsible at
home, completing tasks with minimal
complaining and taking more
initiative. He is becoming more of a
self starter and needs fewer
reminders. His standards for himself
seem to be improving. I accredit the
positive change s in Alex’s
confidence and self esteem directly
to his training at your school and
especially to your own support and
encouragement. Thank you so much for
helping Alex through an especially
difficult time….”

“Krista had given martial arts a
break for a while after completing
her last white belt. There was a
definite difference in her attitude
during that time. Not only did her
attentiveness at home change, her
grades at school went from high to
low. Since Krista has begun martial
arts again, she has shown great
improvement in her school work with
3 A’s and 3 B’s on her last report
card for the year. Her attitude at
home has improved a great deal and
we are beginning to see her begin to
build up her confidence again.”
Crystal H. (Mom)
“Jasper has been taking martial arts
at Azad’s Martial Arts Family Center
since October 2002. He had a short
break in December 2003. Since coming
back to Azad’s and becoming a Tiny
Tiger, he has enjoyed his martial
arts classes and has improved his
understanding and practice of
discipline, focus, manners, and
respect. He has learned some martial
arts drills. He is very proud to be
a Tiny Tiger and is eager to improve
his skills and to advance. We
believe he has made considerable
improvement in both his maturity and
his physical well being.”

“Roberto
has changed so much since he started
taking life skilled lessons at
Azad’s Karate. Roberto has had
problems with school bullies these
past few years. He would always come
home sad. At one point, he hated
going to school. But now that he
started these life skilled lessons,
he’s changed his attitude. Yeah, he
still gets picked on from the
bullies, but he doesn’t let it get
to him.
He went from being a timid,
shy boy to a young boy who will
start up a conversation with friends
and family.
Roberto has also changed his
attitude at home and at school. He
does his chores without being told
to do them. He finishes his homework
every week. He respects adults and
his classmates even though some of
his classmates sometimes tease him.
Roberto’s grades have improved in
the last weeks.
These life skills lessons have
enormously helped Roberto in his
achievements both at home and at
school. He enjoys attending the
lessons and practicing at home.

“Socially
and emotionally karate has provided
Kyle with solid life skills. At
times Kyle can become frustrated and
angry, he uses his life skills to
calm and redirect himself. I also
use review of his life skills to
“ward off” potential issues with
him. He understands the importance
of using his life skills and is
really seeing the importance of them
as he makes changes in his behaviors
and sees the positive from it. He
is playing Minor Little League and
can be very hard on himself and get
in a negative mood. We have been
falling back on using his life
skills to change his mood and
encourage him into a better
direction.”
